It is now 15 years since director Michael Radford chose the island of Procida to shoot some scenes from the film "Il Postino", the last film appearance of the late Massimo Troisi. Focusing on the success of the film, the municipality of Procida today chooses to enhance tourism in those places where, in 1994, the actor from San Giorgio a Cremano, on board his famous bicycle, spent his last  “ indian summer”.

Tourists and visitors from around the world are, therefore, invited to explore the primitive village represented by the fishermen’s houses, colorful and similar to a presepe (nativity scene) by the sea, as well as the alleys and streets of the old villages. The colors and scents of the Gulf of Naples, along with the gastronomic cuisine of the Campi Flegrei guarantee a special and unique holiday away from the stereotypes of fashionable and celebrity retreats. That simple and primordial world that  see in the film is much more than just a legend: it is reality, a place that seems to have preserved, over time, its culture and  traditions.
